ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಸಿ ಟಿ ಜೋಶಿಯವರ “ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನದ ಬಲಿ?” ಗ್ರಂಥ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ

ಇಂದಿನ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ: ಒಂದು ಇಣುಕು ನೋಟ
ಇಂದಿನ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ (ಮುದ್ರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯುನ್ಮಾನ ಎರಡೂ) ಬಗೆಗೆ ಆಳವಾದ, ನಿರ್ವಿಕಾರವಾದ ವಿಚಾರ ವಿನಿಮಯ ನಡೆಸಲು, ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅದೊಂದು ಸಂದರ್ಭವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಳೆದ ಹಲವಾರು ದಶಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮರಂಗ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ಅಜಗಜಾಂತರ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದವರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ

'ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲಕರವಾದ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ (ಬಹುಶಃ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು) ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾದ, ಅದರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕೂಲಕರವಾದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳೂ ಇವೆ. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಪೂರ್ವ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಉದಾತ್ತ ಧ್ಯೇಯೋದ್ದೇಶವಿತ್ತು. ತದನಂತರ ಅದು ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರದ ಸಮೂಹ ಸಾಧನವಾಯಿತು. ಈಗ ಅದು ಅಪ್ಪಟ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರವಾಗಿದೆ' ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಭಾಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ ಗಣ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಮ್ಮತದಿಂದ ನುಡಿದು, ಮಾಧ್ಯಮರಂಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ತನ್ನ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಉಚ್ಛ್ರಾಯದ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ಸಮಯ ಬಂದೇ ಬರುವುದೆಂಬ ಭರವಸೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಸಿ ಟಿ ಜೋಶಿಯವರು ಬರೆದ “ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನದ ಬಲಿ?” ಕನ್ನಡ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ವೈಭವಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಘನತೆಯ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭವದು. ಇಂದಿನ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮರಂಗದ ಸಮಗ್ರವಾದ, ವಸ್ತುನಿಷ್ಠವಾದ ಸಿಂಹಾವಲೋಕನಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾದ ಗ್ರಂಥವದು.

ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಯುರೇಕಾ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕೇಶನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಭವನ, ಮೇ 9, 2017 ರಂದು ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದವು.

ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಜಾರ್ಖಂಡ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರೂ, ಪಂಜಾಬ - ಹರಿಯಾಣಾ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರೂ ಆದ ಜಸ್ಟಿಸ್ ರಾಮ ಜೋಯಿಸ್ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಇತರ ಗಣ್ಯರೆಂದರೆ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಸಚಿವ (ಆಡಳಿತ) ಹಾಗೂ ಅದರ ಸಂವಹನ ಹಾಗೂ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಬಿ ಕೆ ರವಿ, ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ ಬರೆದ ಬಿ ಎನ್ ಗರುಡಾಚಾರ್ (ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮಹಾ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು), ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ-ಲೇಖಕ ಸಿ ಎಮ್ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ಅವರು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಭವನದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಎಚ್ ಎನ್ ಸುರೇಶ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಸಿ ಟಿ ಜೋಶಿಯವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು

ಜೋಶಿಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಅನೇಕ ಘಟನೆ-ಪ್ರಸಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ರಂಗದ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಕಾಶಕ ಜಿ. ಗೌತಮ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಎಸ್ ಎ ರವೀಂದ್ರನಾಥ್ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಹಿರಿಯ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಬಿ ಹರಿಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಭಟ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಿ, ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನವನ್ನೂ ಬಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರ, ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಬಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರ, ದನಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ದನಿಯಾದವರ, ದನಿಯಾಗಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಆಗದವರ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳು.
ನಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಮಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರ, ಬೋಧಪ್ರದ ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಪ್ರ್ರಸ್ತಾಪ.

ಇತಿ-ಮಿತಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲದ, ಹಿತ-ಮಿತವಾದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ತರಲು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರಿಂದ ಆತ್ಮಾವಲೋಕನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಸ್ವಯಂನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಗ್ರಹ.

 ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಕೆಲವು ನಿದರ್ಶನಗಳು:

ಒಂದು ಲೋಕ ಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಂತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತಎಣಿಕೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮಾಜಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮಂತ್ರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಠಾತ್ ಆಗಮನ. ಟಿವಿ ಕೆಮರಾಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೋಹಕ ವಿಖ್ಯಾತ ನಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ. ಮುದ್ರಣ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರತ್ತ ತಿರುಗಿಯೂ ನೋಡದೆ, ಶಿಷ್ಟಾಚಾರದ ಸಲುವಾಗಿಯಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನಾಡದೆ, ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿರುಬಿರನೆ ಹೊರಟೇಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಮುದ್ರಣ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರು ಈ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಕೊಂಡೂ ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಓಡಿದರು.

ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯ ಚಿತ್ರ: ವಾಮನ್

2011 ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರ ಬಹು ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್ ಚಿಲ್ಲರೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದಲ್ಲಿ FDI ಗೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಏನು ಪರಿಣಾಮ? ಒಬ್ಬ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಂಕಣಕಾರರು ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಬರೆದರು. ಜನ-ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರ ಮೇಲಾಗುವ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಬಸವಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಣಿಯ ಸುಮಾರು 300 ಮಂದಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಜೀತದಾಳುಗಳ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಡೆದ ಬವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ತಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಭಾಜಪದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹಳೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಬಂಗಾರು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಅವರನ್ನು ಲಂಚಗುಳಿತನ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಲು ನಡೆಯದಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಯ ಅಣಕು ಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಆಪಾದಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

70ರ ದಶಕದ ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ನಂತರ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಉಪಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಕ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು. ಇಂದಿರಾ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಚಾನ್ಸ್ ಇದ್ದುದು ಆಗ ಡೆಕ್ಕನ್ ಹೆರಾಲ್ಡ್ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾದ, ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಲವಾಗಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದ ದಿಟ್ಟ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ವಿ ಕೆ. ನರಸಿಂಹನ್‍ರಿಗೆ ನಿರಾಸೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಸಹಜವೇ. ಆದರೆ ಉಪಚುನಾವಣಾಪೂರ್ವ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ನನ್ನ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು, ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ, ಇಂದಿರಾರವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಪ್ರತಿಕೂಲವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಬದಲಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಸಂಪಾದಕರನ್ನು ನರಸಿಂಹನ್ ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.

ಒಂದು ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಸಮಯ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಧ್ಯ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದಳು. ಹೆಗಲ ಮೇಲೆ ಭಾರವಾದ ಮತಯಂತ್ರಗಳು. ಏದುಸಿರು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು. ಇಂಥ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಹತ್ವ ಪಡೆದದ್ದು ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಯಕರು ಮತಗಟ್ಟ್ಟೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಮತ ಹಾಕುವ, ಸುದ್ದಿಯ ಲವಲೇಶವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ, ಅರ್ಥಹೀನವಾದ ಸರ್ವೇಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು.

2010ರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಕ್ಷಲೀಯರು ಒಂದು ರೈಲ್ವೇ ಸ್ಟೇಶನ್ನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಅದರ ಸ್ಟೇಶನ್ ಮಾಸ್ತರರನ್ನು ಅಪಹರಿಸಿದರು. ಒಬ್ಬ ಯಃಕಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಸ್ಟೇಶನ್ ಮಾಸ್ತರ ತಾನೇ? ಅವರ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಬೆಲೆ? ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಫಿಲರ್‍ಗಳಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಬೆಲೆ. ಅವರ ಅಪಹರಣ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಂಡದ್ದು ಫಿಲರ್ ಎಂದೇ!

ಒಬ್ಬ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು (ಅವರು ಇಂದಿಲ್ಲ.) ಒಂದು ದಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧ ವರದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲೆ ಹಾಕಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೋದರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಅಪರಾಧ ವರದಿಗಾರರನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿದರು. ಸೋದರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ವರದಿಗಾರರು ತಮಾಷೆಯಿಂದ “ಇವತ್ತು ನೀವೇನಾ ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್?” ಎಂದರು. ತಕ್ಷಣ “ಹಂಗಾಮಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ವರದಿಗಾರರು” ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ದಪ್‍ದಪ್ ಎಂದು ಕಾಲು ಬಡಿಯುತ್ತ ಹೊರಟೇ ಹೋದರು. ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ವರದಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು ತಮಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಸೋದರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಆ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.

“ಬೆಟ್ಟದಾ ಮೇಲೊಂದು ಮನೆಯ ಮಾಡಿ...” ಎಂಬ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಅಕ್ಕ ಮಹಾದೇವಿ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಬರೆದಂತೆ ಭಾಸವಾಗಬಹುದು. ಈ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ “ಅಂಜಿ-ದೊಡೆ ಎಂತಯ್ಯಾ?”. ಅಪಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಲೆಕೊಟ್ಟು ವರದಿ ಮಾಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ ಇದೆ. ಅನುಭವಿಸ-ಬೇಕು. ಯಾವ ತರಬೇತಿ ತರಗತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬೋಧಿಸಲಾಗದು.

“ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತುವುದರಿಂದ, ತಿಳಿದವರ ಸಹವಾಸದಿಂದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯ ಹನಿಯಂತೆ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.”-ಸಂಸ್ಕøತದ ಒಂದು ಸುಂದರ ಲೋಕಾನುಭವದ ಸುಭಾಷಿತ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. “ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.” ಎಂದು ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಅಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡದು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ದೊಡ್ಡದು ಅವುಗಳ ಹೊಣೆಯೂ ಕೂಡ.

ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಕೆಲವು ಸಂದೇಶಗಳು, ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು :

ಡಾ ಎ ಸೂರ್ಯಪ್ರಕಾಶ, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಪ್ರಸಾರ ಭಾರತಿ, ದಿಲ್ಲಿ: “ದಶಕಗಳ ಕಾಲ ರಾಜಕೀಯವನ್ನೂ ಆಡಳಿತವನ್ನೂ ತೀರ ಹತ್ತಿರದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿದ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮರಂಗದ ಧೀಮಂತರೊಬ್ಬರು ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವೃತ್ತಿಯವರ ಆಳವಾದ ಒಳಅರಿವು ಇದೆ.”

ಪಿ ಜಿ ಆರ್ ಸಿಂಧ್ಯ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ  ಮಾಜಿ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು : “ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ರಂಗದ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತಿವೆಯೆಂಬ ಆತಂಕವಿರುವ ಈ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮಿಯಾಗಿ 5-6 ದಶಕಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ರಮಿಸಿರುವ ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭವಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಲಹೆಗಳು ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮದ ನೈತಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಯುವ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕವಾಗಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆಯೆಂದು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.”

ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ ಕುಳಲಿ, ಹಿರಿಯ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು : “ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ರಂಗದ ಅಂತರಂಗದ ನೈಜ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಸಿ ಟಿ ಜೋಶಿಯವರ ಈ ಗ್ರಂಥ ವಾಚನದಿಂದ ಕಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.”

ರಘುರಾಮ, ಐಟಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರು: “ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ. ಅದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಯುಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡೀತೆಂದು ನಾನು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ”

ವಿಲಾಸ ಕೆ, ಹಿತೈಷಿಗಳು: “ ನನ್ನಂತಹ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯನಾಗಲೀ, ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮದ ಗಂಭೀರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಲೀ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುತೂಹಲಕರವಾದುದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಾದುದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮತ್ತು ತಾದಾತ್ಮ್ಯವಾದುದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ.”

ಪರಿಚಯ:

ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರೂಪಕ, ಗಾಯಕ, ಗಿಟಾರಿಸ್ಟ್, ಕೀಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಕಲಾವಿದ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಸೂರಜ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿ ಇಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸಂಗೀತ ಲಾಂಛನವಾದ ’ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಜೆ. ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ಸ್’ನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘ್ಹಾಟಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭಜನಾಮೃತ, ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ, ಹಿಂದೂಸ್ಥಾನಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಗೀತ, ಪಾಶ್ಚಿಮಾತ್ಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಗೀತ, ಪಾಪ್, ರಾಕ್ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಶೈಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಕಲಾವಿದರನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ತರುವ ದಿಶೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

’ಆರ್ಟ್ ಆಫ಼್ ಲಿವಿಂಗ್’ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಆರಾಧ್ಯ ದೈವ ಗುರುದೇವ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿಶಂಕರರ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಂತಿಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹರಡುವ ಕಾಯಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಮಕಾಲೀನ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಗೀತವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕಳೆದೆರಡು ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಭಾರವು ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ, ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಯುವ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮೂಲಕ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆ ದೊರಕಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಂಗೀತ ಲಾಂಛನ ’ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಜೆ. ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ಸ್’ನ ಪ್ರಭಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿ, ಸ್ವರ ಮಾಧುರ್ಯದ ೨೨ ಆಲ್ಬಂಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗೀತಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವ ನವ ಪಯಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ವಂತ ಗಾಯನದ / ಕಲಾವಂತಿಕೆಯ ೧೭ ಸ್ಟುಡಿಯೋ ಆಲ್ಬಂಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನಿರೂಪಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನಲಂಕರಿಸಿ ೧೪ ಆಲ್ಬಂಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆಳವಾದ ಅನುಭವ ಅವರ ಇಂದಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.

’ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಜೆ. ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ಸ್’ನ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿ ಭಕ್ತಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತಿದು: ’ಗುರುದೇವ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿಶಂಕರರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಕರವಾದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಏರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಮಹತ್ತರವಾದ ಆ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯ ಅನುಭವ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗೀತದ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕೇಳುಗರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಏಕೈಕ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ.’

ಲಾಂಛನದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೩ರ ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಂಜೆ ಕುರಿತು:

ಹೊಸ ಸಂಗೀತ ಲಾಂಛನ ’ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಜೆ. ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ಸ್’, ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಾಳವಾದ್ಯದ ಆರು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ’ವಂಡರ್-ನೌ’ ಎಂಬ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಜಾನಪದ ರಾಕ್ ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಂಜೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಂಜೆಯನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೩ರಂದು, ಕನಕಪುರ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶಂಕರ ಫ಼ೌಂಡೇಷನ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿಯವರ ೨೨ನೇ ಸ್ಟುಡಿಯೋ ಆಲ್ಬಂ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ’ವಂಡರ್-ನೌ’ ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಂಜೆಯು ಬಿಂಬಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಹಿನಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಂಜೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ, ತಮ್ಮ ೨೦ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅನುಭವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಟ್ಟಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿ ಪಾದಾರ್ಪಣ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಕ್ ಸಂಗೀತಕ್ಕೆ ’ವಂಡರ್-ನೌ’ ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಆಯಾಮವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಿದ್ದು, ಯುವಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕವೆನಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಯುವಕ-ಯುವತಿಯರು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈಗಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂವೇದನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

’ಕಿಂಗ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಫ಼್ ಲಂಡನ್’ನ ಪದವೀಧರರಾದ ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿ, ಯಥೇಚ್ಛವಾಗಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳವರು. ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವೂ, ಆಪ್ಯಾಯವೂ ಆಗಿರತಕ್ಕಂಥ ಸಂಗೀತವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವುಳ್ಳ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸಂಗೀತ ಲಾಂಛನ ’ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಜೆ. ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ಸ್’ಗೆ ’ವಂಡರ್-ನೌ’ ಆಲ್ಬಂನ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯೊಂದು ಅನನ್ಯವಾದ ದಿಕ್ಸೂಚಿಯಂತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಜಗ್ತಿಯಾನಿ ತಮ್ಮ ನಿಜವಾದ ಸತ್ವ ಏನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು  ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ೨೦ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಗುರುದೇವ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿಶಂಕರರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಿಂದ. ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗಲೇ ಸಂಗೀತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟಿಷ್ಟು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಾಹಿಲ್, ಗುರುಗಳ ಭೇಟಿಯ ತರುವಾಯ, ’ತಾವಿನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದು ಗುರುಗಳ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಂತಿಯ ಸಂದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಸಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರ’ ಎಂಬ ನಿಲುವು ತಳೆದರು. ಪಾಪ್, ರಾಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸ್ ಆಲಿಸುತ್ತ, ನುಡಿಸುತ್ತ ಬೆಳೆದು ನಿಂತ ಓರ್ವ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ, ತನ್ನ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಥ ನೀಡಬಲ್ಲಂಥ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಬಲ್ಲವನಾದದ್ದು ಆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲೇ. ಸಾಹಿಲ್ ಸಂಗೀತದ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆಯು, ಪಾಶ್ಚಿಮಾತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ, ಇಂದಿನ ಅಗತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ಸಾವಿರಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಯುವಜನರನ್ನು ಧ್ಯಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುವ ಗಾನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿ  ಸಾಹಿಲ್, ಬಹು ಬೇಗ ’ಆರ್ಟ್ ಆಫ಼್ ಲಿವಿಂಗ್’ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ಯುವ ಚಿಹ್ನೆ ಎಂಬ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾದರು. ಅವರೋರ್ವ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯ ಗಾಯಕ, ಗಿಟಾರಿಸ್ಟ್, ನಿರೂಪಕ, ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ, ಕೀಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಕಲಾವಿದ, ಸೌಂಡ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೋಗ್ರಾಮರ್ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರ ಆಲ್ಬಂಗಳು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದವು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಾದ್ಯ ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ  ಹೊರಟು ವಿಸ್ತೃತವಾಗಿ ರಷ್ಯಾ, ತೈವಾನ್, ಆಫ್ರಿಕ, ಹಾಂಕಾಂಗ್ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಅನೇಕ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಸಂಗೀತಪ್ರಸಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದರು. ಅವರ ಮೊಟ್ಟಮೊದಲ ಆಲ್ಬಂ ’ಅವತರಣ್: ಯುನೈಟ್ ವಿಥಿನ್ ಯುವರ್ ಸೆಲ್ಫ್’, ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಕ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿತರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರತಿಗಳು ಮಾರಾಟವಾದ ಆಲ್ಬಂಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿತು.
